85 Daily Affirmations for Teachers, By Teachers!

I know how it feels to be put through the ringer by the teaching profession. As a former mathematics teacher, I made the very difficult decision to leave the profession after experiencing serious burnout and struggling with work life balance,

I’ve seen the highs and lows that come with teaching, and I understand the pressures and demands that educators face while working hard to make a difference in students’ lives.

My time in the classroom was filled with moments of joy and fulfillment, but it was also incredibly taxing on my family life. The constant juggling of lesson plans, grading, meetings, and managing students’ behavior made it difficult to be fully present and intentional in my home life.

By the time I quit teaching, I had lost sight of my own well-being. That’s why I’ve created this collection of 85 affirmations for teachers by an actual teacher!

Using Affirmations for Teachers

Positive affirmations are a tool that I wish I knew about during my time as a teacher. Now that I use these powerful tools in my post-teaching life, I am confident that they would have helped me manage much of the stress I faced in my career. My hope is that you are able to use this list of affirmations in your own teaching practice to find balance and deepen your passion for the job.

There are so many ways that you can use positive teacher affirmations to support your teaching practice and your own mental health. One of the most effective ways to use affirmations is by writing them on a sticky note and placing them around your workspace, inside your planner, or on your bathroom mirror. This simple practice can help reinforce the positive thinking and empowering thoughts that your favorite affirmations bring to the front of your mind. This will help keep you focused on the good things throughout your day, while managing challenging situations in a healthy way.

My personal favorite way to use affirmations is by using them as journal prompts to prepare my mind for a great day. I like to tape affirmation cards in my favorite journal and write a short reflection on each one. I have found this to be a great way to internalize each positive message for the day ahead.
